1. Primary teachers tell us that a significant number of students arrive at primary schools not ready to learn and struggle to catch up.

Together, we can fix this. Join Thrive by Five today at www.tb5.essentialmedia.com.au

2. A well-resourced, universal play-based early learning system connected to the public education system will pick up these problems, provide support to children and families so they arrive at primary school ready to learn.

  • You’re invited to be a part of something big
  • Let’s get every child to start thriving by five

Hi [first name],

We’ve recently joined the Thrive By Five campaign – and we’d love for you to add your name too.

Thrive by Five is a community of parents, grandparents, educators, business leaders, unions, health professionals, community organisation and economists – pretty much anyone who wants to see our children become the best they can be.

During the first five years of life, the human brain develops to 90 per cent of an adult’s size. That’s why early learning and care is so important. Access to high quality early learning and care can be the difference between a child starting school ready to learn, or starting school developmentally vulnerable. Through high quality early learning, children have the chance to develop through talking, socialising, singing and of course – playing! This development in the first five years shapes their thinking patterns and emotional skills for life.

We think every child should have access to high quality early learning – which is what the Thrive by Five campaign is calling for. We’ve added our voice to the campaign – will you add yours by joining the campaign now? Click here to sign up. [LINK: www.tb5.essentialmedia.com.au]

Hi [first name],

As a supporter of [Organisation name], we know that you’re passionate about ensuring our children can become the best that they can be.

Yet the early learning sector, which helps develop our 0-3-year-old children, is poorly funded, badly organised and not integrated into the education system. Since child’s brain develops to 90 per cent of an adult’s size by the age of five, getting this right is critical and the current system is letting our children down.

That’s why we’ve signed up to the new campaign, Thrive by Five, which is calling for reform of the early learning system – and we’d love for you to be part of it too. Click here to do it today.

Many families can’t even afford to send their children to early learning centres – with only 37% of our kids getting critical early learning.

Allowing children to learn through play can be the difference between a child starting school ready to learn, or starting school developmentally vulnerable. A well-resourced, universal play-based early learning system connected to the public education system will provide support to children and families so they arrive at primary school ready to learn

So we encourage you to join the campaign today. Together we can make sure our early learning is taken seriously, and our families, as well as preschools and childcare centres, have the information and resources they need to make a difference in children’s lives.

It’s not right that some kids cards are marked by the time they are 5 years old.
